Guns'n Roses is also the famous band in the world. They made their band in 1985. The label of them is the same as NIRVANA,but NIRVANA and them is like enemy each other. Kurt Cobain hated them cuz their management style.But I like both of them.HAHA. My friends played Guns last concert.Since that I got to like them. Weilcome to th jungle is great and little bit funny.
Led Zeppelin is one of the most famous artists in 70's. Especially,Jimmy Page who plays the guitar was elected as the 3 greatest guitarists in the world.These days, you know they re-made the band and acted in England. I don't know much about them but their songs are really great. Heart Breaker is one of the songs I like.
GREEN DAY is one of the well known artists in the world. There are a lot of fans in Japan. The album, American idiot or Dookie is listened to by many people. they made the band in 1987. Members are Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool. And they are the first band which had the Most Valuable Grammy Award as a punk rock band. Simple melody, bat really cool, exciting songs and lyrics are very good! I first listened to their CD when I was a high school student. It was like an impulse cuz I had ever listened such a great band. Since that, GREEN DAY have been one of my Favorites. Anyway, these days, I had a live concert I acted. I did a copy band of GREEN DAY!!!! It was really an exciting time!
Today,I found a 90's hardcore punk band, The casualties! I was told their name by one of my friends. The Casualties's members are Rick- Bass Jorge-Vocals Meggers- Drums Jake- Guitar they formed band in 1990,maybe.(Sorry I don't know well) I think Jorge's voice is really great. Not well, but his voice has power! And also,their songs are cool, even if they are not good at skills. I think it's ''HETAUMA'' in Japanese, means ''Bad at playing, but you can find it's so fantastic'' Please listen to them!!
Well, cuz I don't like pop songs,such like saying plausible things for peace, love,and so on, I prefer the bands or singer singing ''One's truth''. Sometimes I listen to like a party songs(?) But It's best to listen to the music which works our minds, thought,and hearts. I need and want to explore the music like that. ・・・・Fxcx with songs about nothing! HAHAHAHA!
Today, I wanna write about SEX PISTOLS. Almost all people know that name,but I think there are lot of people who have ever listened to.
SEX PISTOLS is well known as like RAMONES, and as the first punk rockers in the world.
(Actually, they're not)
SEX PISTOLS was born in 1976. the rock music scene in this time was full of progressive rocks(Using techniques) .But PISTOLS's punk rock style was not like that.
Only 3 chords in one song, and lyrics was full of complains about society, government,Royal family,and the music rebels. Their first,also last album 『Never Mind 』shocked and attracted many people. Also,their attitude was very bad.In an interview,they usually said『Fxxk!』『Shxx!!』. So, they were often not broadcasted.But they're style and attitude expressed the feeling which younger people in lower. That's why they could get supports.
I love Pistols, cuz they're style is really COOOOOOOOOOL!! even if it is very old sounds.
NIRVANA is my favorite musician. Kurt Cobain, the vocal of NIRVANA is a very very great musician for me. Their music is very simple, but dynamic and powerful. I was shocked at their 1st album, NEVER MIND when I was a high school student. I always listned to the melodic punk like Green day. they are also great musician,but the music from my headphone was that I had ever listened. The lyric I coudn't understand was full of power, anger, and sad. I found the way I wanted.
NEVER MIND Shocked many people, like me when it was published in 1991.
In that time, many heavy metal and Hard Rock musicians were in American muisic scene.
Punk rock didn't have power in major. But there were great punk rockers in indies.
NIRVANA was a kind of them. NEVER MIND fassinated people,and the its style people didn't know was called ''grunge''.
In this blog, I'd like to write about the review of the 70's～90's musicians. Also,I'll write about the history and culture behind the music. Maybe, Almost of this blog will be about PUNK ROCK!
